The Watchmen

Before the Dark Knight there was a teaser trailer for Watchmen. A movie based upon the cherished graphic novel The Watchmen, by one of the greatest writers Alan Moore. I imagine that if you haven’t read the comic you could be utterly and completely confused. I mean the characters look weird, who are the villains, what the heck is going on, what time frame is this, etc. etc. Everyone knows Spider-Man, Superman, and Batman. However, movies like V for Vendetta, Sin City, The Spirit, and 300 let us reach out into a different sphere of comicdom.
The movie isn’t coming out until sometime in 2009. That means YOU have time to pick it up and read it. Borrow, beg, or rent it! There are holidays and birthdays so put it on your wishlist. Or check your local library: worldcat.org. Friend or foe this is a must read. And if you want to read what could possible by the best Joker story ever told, check out DC Universe: The Stories of Alan Moore, containing the story “The Killing Joke”. But don’t take my word for it.

I havent heard of the Watchmen in a super long time. The movie looks sick though. They did a great job on the trailer

So, I’m on the 4th chapter and I’m hooked. This thing is a gem. I cant imagine how different this comic book was compared to anything else in 1986.

i has the graphic novel finally and i now know what my friend was on about he was so damn right that its the best thing out alongside batman etc i didnt realide how far it went back, it’s pretty outstanding and amazing and i love it !!!
