Hitman

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated. This is due to the fact that the Internets has not been set up yet in my new place, and is coming this Saturday. This update comes via my lunch hour.

My buddy recommended that I make more post on graphic novels. Please keep in mind that this review on Garth Ennis’ Hitman won’t be complete, because I’m only 20 or so issues into a series of 50 or 60. I tend to follow authors as they deliver more often than titles or artists. Ennis has to be one my favorite and my buddy Armando gave me his complete set, knowing that Hitman is a gem to be shared. Hitman is complete with crazy storylines, beer drinking, witty banter, a multitude of famous super-hero appearances, adventure, and lovable/ weird characters. The comics’ protagonist is one Tommy Monaghan a freelance assassin who only kills bad guys. The twist though is that Tommy puts his services against super-villians, as he has aquired some cool powers. All in all the stories have been funny, compelling, and have really made me realized why I love comics in the first place.

I haven’t really researched it but I don’t think a complete set exists. However trade paperbacks of individual storylines do. see amazon to order. I’d start off with his first appearances though, the stories aren’t complicated, making it easy to put down and pick back up. I’ll update with my favorite storylines as well.

Lastly, the words of my buddy Armando on the Hitman, “you really grow to love that mic”.
